• 100% natural stone that is safe for your aquarium and has been sourced, tumbled, washed, and packaged by our family-owned business in the USA. Tumbling smooths sharp edges for the safety of your tank inhabitants and gives a more weathered look for your terrarium or moss bottle/jar garden (mossarium). The color is a matte slate grey with a hint of blue that holds up over time and won't fade. Each package is a mix of stone from 1 to 3 inches (some stones may be slightly above or below this range)
• AQUARIUMS - Ideal for aquascaping planted, freshwater and saltwater aquariums, paludariums, and various tank styles like biotope, Iwagumi, Dutch, nano, and betta tanks. The deep grey color of this stone enhances plants and tank inhabitants beautifully! Glue or grout them to create small cliffs, caves, mountains, berms, paths, and walls. Lay flat, stand on end, or angle with support. Use with some of our larger pieces, smaller stones, and gravel for a realistic scene. Attach to medium/small driftwood pieces to prevent them from floating
• REPTILE ENCLOSURES - Perfect for smaller reptile enclosures as basking and climbing stones or ledges in terrariums, vivariums and other pet enclosures. They can be glued together to create walls, caves, paths, climbing walls and berms. Natural slate absorbs and retains heat well, making excellent basking surfaces. Use with our larger pieces to create an attractive and natural environment for your pets
• MINIATURE - Perfect for creating realistic walkways, patios, walls, steps, caves, waterfalls, bridges and landscapes for miniature gardens, fairy gardens, dioramas, model railroads, mossariums and displays. We offer several larger and smaller sizes to create a seamless realistic hardscape. Also great for mosaic art and other creative projects
• As a natural stone, there may be some white quartz veining or brown surface discoloration. These natural variations make every stone unique. Use aquarium safe glue or epoxy to secure all your creations for the safety of your inhabitants. Rinse thoroughly with water before use to remove any dust from shipping and handling.
